Marie Louise Uwizeyimana practices journalism since 2005. At the beginning, she was a freelancer delivering to different local and international media houses. When she gained enough experience and skills in media management, she decided to start her own weekly newspaper known as Intego. In 2013, she was awarded as the Journalist of the year, in the annual Journalism Development Awards organized by Rwanda Governance Boards. As a Journalist, her publications support national efforts of promoting nationalism, unity, justice, peace, health, gender and economy among others. She has been Vice president or Rwandan Journalists’ Association and vice Chair of Rwanda Media Union. Currently, she manages Intego newspaper and its website www.intego.com and a member of Women Media Owners for Chance (WMOC), a Network of Women owning media outlets in Rwanda, with the common goal to amplify woman voice through media. Very soon, she will be graduating from Law University, and she is very interested in using the available platforms and abilities to promote the Rule of law.
